Base Systems was established in 1968 and has been a family-run car audio business ever since. The first shop opened at Greenbank Street, Preston, with two brothers, Joe and Bob. In 1978 we moved to Fylde Road, where we had 39 years of trading. In 1983 the premises next door was purchased to increase the shop size. Many of the family have worked in the business since it opened. In June 2017 we moved to larger premises at Red Scar Business Park, allowing for more parking, better motorway access and a larger workshop for commercial and leisure vehicles.
Our experience and knowledge in car audio and vehicle electronics is key. From installing a basic radio, aerial and single speaker in a Mk 1 Mini to installing non-detectable immobilisers into the latest vehicles, we’ve done it all. Our success is largely due to our staff striving to meet customers’ specific requirements.
For over 50 years, we’ve been one of the city’s longest-running family businesses and we’re proud to serve Preston and beyond.
